The Hind & Hart was situated on The Concourse.  This estate pub was closed and boarded up after a flood in November 2022.

I used to live on the estate during my early childhood, moved away mid teen years around 1986. From memory the most shocking incident to involve the pub was the death of the local drunk, uncaringly known as “Derek the Dog”; he was found one morning I believe with his head caved in outside the pub, I was too young to frequent the pub but it never seemed like a popular place to drink.
