Tracy 1975-1978 I grew up in this pub as a daughter of the landlord. The best times going around on a milk float delivering all the beer to the smaller bars surrounding the cricket pitch. And visiting the people who worked in the tiny office just behind the public areas of the pitch. Happy days with our German Shepherd called 'Major'.
Malcolm Clewer 1985-1990 I was the Publican Licensee of the Oval Cricket Ground ( and Lords for a short while ) I had a wonderful time happy memories.
Peter Poole mid 1970s I worked at the Surrey Tavern and in the Oval. The landlords were Roger and Brenda. When I left I adopted Major the Alsatian dog. A few customers were nervous about him.
