My mother, Colleen Moore-Haines was born there (my
great-grandfather was the licensee) on 31 October 1926. She wrote: "There
was a snow storm. The doctor's car wouldn't start and grandmother began to
panic, but he arrived just before birth at 2 am. Father and grandfather
occupied themselves moving the grandpiano.” |
