The Dukes Head was situated at 1-3 Loman Street. This pub was present by 1809 when the publican was Charles Moore. It closed in 1907 following referral to the Compensation Authority and has now been demolished. The final publican was Frances Beere whose share of the compensation payment was £264, with an additional £244 paid to the lessees, Noakes & Co.
