The Earl Of Derby was situated at 185 Grange
Road. This pub is now in residential use. |

I used to be in a band that had the
Friday night residency for about 7 or 8 months during the year of 1966. We
really used to pack the place out! Cant remember the landlady name, but she
was a largish attractive lady in her 40’s (then). Eventually it became the
haunt of local wide-boys, and whilst we never had any trouble, we could see
it coming, so we moved on. Have fond memories of the place, though. |
