Rockingham Arms

Date of photo: 1956

The Rockingham Arms was situated at 175 Newington Causeway.  This grand, turreted pub was built in 1888 and was demolished in the Elephant & Castle redevelopment of the 1960s. The name lives on in the local Wetherspoons which occupies much the same site.
