The Grosvenor Arms was situated at 108 Grosvenor
Terrace. This pub is now in residential use. |
|
This pub was highly unusual as it
straddled two streets that were not accessible quickly except through the
pub. So the pub was in Grosvenor Terrace but its second entrance was in John
Ruskin Street. It would take 10 minutes to walk around the block from one
entrance to the other. Anecdotally, people would get out of a taxi at the
pub, say they were going to get change and then disappear into the next
street without paying the driver. |
