The Ivanhoe

The Ivanhoe was situated at 28 Ivanhoe Road. This pub was known as Hoopers at time of closure in 2012.

My grandparents managed this pub during WW2. They retired to the south coast in 1949 and I have many memories of this place. They ran a coach service amongst other things and it was always busy. During the time of the flying bombs, everyone had to sleep on the cellar. Sad it has now closed but just one of so many now.
