I took on an Inntrepreneuer lease at The Sun and Doves in
Sept 1995. I along with thousands of other tied tenants was transferred
from one pub company to another as goods and chattels along with my
'assignable long lease' I set up the Fair Pint campaign while at the Sun
and Doves, in 2008, with other south London publicans - which led to the
Pubs Code coming into place in 2016.

Was a regular customer studying at the Kings Hospital and
living up Caldecot Road no. 58 as far as I can remember. Had a disco
roadshow that I played in the pub many Saturday nights winter and
summer. Met many friends at the public bar - students medical, dental,
nursing, nurses originally from the old Children's hospital that closed
during my stay. Many fond memories and pints! Even a landlord once who
watered down the beer! Great pub? Yes. |
