The Raven was situated at 140 Westbridge Road. This pub dates from the 17th century and is Grade II Listed. It closed c2011 and is now used as an Italian restaurant.

Pat Dockerill 1950 There were stables at the back.where we would.keep small ponies.We would have two each and walk them to Battersea park for childrens rides.that was when the park was opened for the festival of Britain. My dad got himself nicked by the police in here for out of hours drinking.
Charlie 1969-1979 I was a regular customer, played Sunday football for them at Battersea Park on cinder pitches! (ouch). Publican back the was Pat Dempsey.
James 1947-1959 Lived next door at 138 westbridge road .explored the tunnel that led to the thames .dick turpin was supposed to have used for smuggling. Yards were used for circus animals, they kept elephants, llamas all sorts for battersea festival gardens .rode down many times on the elephants back .landlady used to make big bowls of chocolate .her son got killed in burma, real nice bloke,rip. Many times our tiny house was mistaken for the loo .
