Bessborough Arms

The Bessborough Arms was situated at the corner of Bessborough Place and Balvaird Place.  The Westminster Cathedral Roman Catholic Primary School now occupies the site. According to Bombsight.org five bombs landed around there in WW2 and that led to redevelopments and rebuilding in the immediate area post war and it's rise in wealthier inhabitants sadly making the pub surplus. It was demolished in 1961.
