Moore Arms

The Moore Arms was situated at 61 Cadogan Street and now converted to flats, following closure in the early 2000s. Named after Sir John Moore, military hero and local man.

The famous actor Jack Hawkins held his wedding reception at the Moore Arms in 1946. He recalled in his autobiography: 'The publican, an old friend, had managed to secure a crate of champagne'.
