The Mawbey Arms was situated at 7
Mawbey Street. |
|
The listed Mawbey Arms was built around 1860 and
is planted in the middle of a housing estate in South Lambeth. The facade
changed colours several times, going from fire engine red in the 90s to its
final coat of green. It had a darts league, was draped in Chelsea FC
memorabilia, hosted an occasional guest lager and finally closed its doors
in 2020. There are development plans submitted to convert it into part of a
local primary school. |
