The Angel was situated at 354 Coldharbour Lane.
This was my local in the late 1960s when I lived in Somerleyton Road and
then Geneva Road. Landlord Bob and his wife Kitty ran a tight ship but were
welcoming hoses, and Gladys was the nicest of barmaids. The pub attracted a
diverse crowd but there was rarely trouble and I remember it with great
affection. |
