The Coach & Horses was situated at 348 Clapham Road. This pub is now used as the Market House bar.

When my Dad was at the nearby London College of Pharmacy 1938 to 1940 on the opposite side of road all the students would go off to the 'CH4' meaning chemical speak for coach and 4 horses for a snifter after lectures ! Sadly the college closed in 1945 but the memory of this (and the actual buildings ) linger on.
