The landlord was Harry Allcorn the pub had a very wide
range of clients from retired senior army officers to us callow youths,
myself Terry Keating,Paul Duffy and a group of Spanish girls from a
convent over the road |

I remember meeting Tommy Cooper, I
think he had a dog with him. He lifted me on to a stool as I was quite a
small young woman then. Seemed very melancholy from what I recall there
were a few of us chatting throughout the evening. |
