The Granville was situated on Granville Gardens. A large inter-war pub closed in 2008 and has now been demolished. A Watneys pub in the 1970s.

Spent many a happy evening in this pub in the 80s as a teenager/young adult. Became a themed pub at one point with a water-wheel feature in the entrance. Hosted live acts regularly including The Amazing Rhythm Burglars. Went there with an old school friend for a reunion in the 2000s and was dismayed to see it had become a car wash. Now has a large building on the site incorporating a Sainsbury's Local.
