The Royal Oak was situated on The Broadway. |

Would any of your supporters have a photo of the Royal Oak in the Broadway
W5? It was opposite Bentall’s and was, if memory severs me right, a Courage
Pub. I am living back in Ireland now but I have some great memories of the
Oak, especially sitting around the huge fire at the rear end of the pub. I
mustn’t forget the unique row of paired seats that were fixed along the left
hand wall as you first entered the bar, very cosy. Hope you come up with
something, anything at all will be very much appreciated. |

Customer. Great pub, with DJ every
Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, but customers not allowed to dance
or look like they were dancing due to pub not having dancing license.
