The Hope

The Hope was situated at 40 St Peter's Road.

My grandparents, AEJ Cartledge and his wife, used to run this pub in the 1920s/30s and my mother spent her early years here. It was owned by a James Gardner whose wife went on to build the Rembrandt cinema in Ewell and the Kinema, Kingston.
