Tamworth Arms

The Tamworth Arms was situated at 31 Field Road. In existence by 1881 when Henry Monkton was landlord. Henry died in 1890 and the pub was taken on by his son, also Henry. Henry jnr. was there until 1927 when Charrington's sold the lease. They bought in back sixteen years later. In 1963 Charrington's sold the Freehold, under the threat of a Compulsory Purchase Order, to Fulham Borough Council, so it's likely it closed in that year. It was subsequently demolished and flats built on the site.
