The Pakenham Arms was situated at 1 Pakenham Street and closed in 2013.

The Pakenham was near the Mount Pleasant Mail Office which when I worked there (2001-3) was a 24 hour operation. Because of this the Pakenham had extended hours 9:30am to 1:30am and so got a lot of trade from the Mount. Possibly the decline in staff numbers at the Mount has been a factor in the Pakenham's closure.
