The Bodega
|

|
|
The Bodega was situated in Bedford Street, just off The
Strand. This was a classic Victorian pub, much frequented by actors and
often known colloquially as the "Marble Halls" for obvious reasons. It
closed in either the 1970s or 1980s and the premises is now occupied by a
print/photocopying shop. Some of the attractive glasswork remains at the
top of the windows, but shamefully nothing remains of the magnificent
interior, unless it has been boarded over somehow.
