Used to follow a band that played there in the 60s, The
New Society Dance Orchestra, brilliant. I remember John Milton on
various reeds and Jim Shepperd on trombone .Whatever happend to them |

Jazz on tues, thurs, sat. I
remember seeing the great Keith Smiths Climax Jazzband on tues & thurs.
A hard taskmaster to the rest of the band. One night "thunderclap newman"
sat in on piano. Always friendly pub. |
