The Bell was situated at 510 Hertford Road. This pub was also known as the Bull & Bell and was used as the Bar FM prior to closure.

When under age, I'd sneak into the Bell and putting on my oldest face would order a 'half of brown, please'. With the glass in my hand I would get as far from the bar as possible so that I wouldn't be spotted by another more zealous barman. (maybe it was half of mild, it was 64 years ago)

Known as Chimes and Texas Cantina, it is now used as a Turkish restaurant.
