The Granville was situated at 1-3 Northampton Road.

Dave Peacock of Chas 'n Dave fame said his uncle Bill played banjo and ukulele and was in a band that played gigs. "They use'd to play in the pub at the corner of my road, which is still there, The Granville, and when I was a kid outside I could hear him strumming this banjo and I just thought I'd died and gone to heaven."
