The Railway Inn was situated on Bedfont Lane and has now been demolished.

We lived in Bedfont Lane, my parents Doris and Ernie Chaffey used this hotel as a local. They moved to Bedfont lane in 1942, I was born in 1947/at home and according to my mother my father was wetting my head in this pub before he knew if I was a daughter or son. I was a daughter.
