The owner was Nobby Clark, an
ex-marine and collector of antiques. The pub was decorated with them. He
had a knife from King Farouk and a nasty little trick box that snapped
at your finger if you picked it up incorrectly. I was a bar maid,
working mainly at weekends as I was a student at Kingston Uni. I loved
working for Nobby. |
