The County Arms was situated at 2 Hall Road.  This pub has now been demolished and replaced by the housing development in the above photo.

The County Arms closed some time after 2004. The attempted Murder of Kate Sheedy by serial Killer Levi Bellingfield took place by the bus stop in front of the pub. The pubs CCTV captured the incident, the shadow of which may have contributed to the pubs decline and closure not long afterwards.
