The Lion was situated at 27 Wick Road. This pub closed in
December 2010. |
|
This pub reopened on the 3rd Feb 2011 (it closed 22nd Dec 2010). Rachid Noui
with Julien are now running the pub for Enterprise Inns with a view of
taking on the tenancy. Their intention is to add a French restaurant to this
traditional pub. The beer bottles behind the bar that Don had collected have
gone together with the CAMRA Certificates and the pool
table. Beer was Pride and Doombar. The Doombar at 340p a pint.
The pub is due to close again for refurbishment in a month or two. However,
I have heard that it is now on the market again. |

Closed December 2022, future uncertain. |
