The Old Rockingham Arms was situated on Rockingham Road. This pub was demolished in September 2010.

This pub was used for coroner’s inquests. In April 1917, an inquest was held into the accidental death of my aunt, Monica Mary Ellen Beasley, aged 3, who was killed by a milkman’s horse in the street outside her home.
