The Spotted Dog was situated at 17 Windsor Street. This grade-II listed pub was present by 1851 when the publican was John Ward. It is now in commercial use.

Listed building details:

Probably C17 timber framed building with alterations. 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. Machine tiled roof with early C19 dormer. Plastered 1st floor has 3 modern sash windows with glazing bars. Modern but seemly shop fronts on ground floor. Old gabled rear extensions modernised.
