The Ship was situated at 53-55 Church Street. This pub is now in retail use.

I remember going to The Ship pub one evening , possibly late 1970s when I was a child(with parents). As i remember it it was a long dimly lit room,and as you exited the church was over the road opposite floodlit at night . guess it would have been a local haunt most of the year out of season. Can't remember much else im afraid but a happy memory none the less.
