The Dukes Head was situated on High Street. This pub closed in 2009 and is now used as a shop.
The Dukes was the whole corner, including the part shown in blue and the next building along with the red door and the sign. During the 90's my in-laws Ben and Maureen Durrant used to always use the Dukes when they had finished their weekly shop up the High Street. We held his wake there in 2003.  Later the left hand side was sold separately and became a solicitors office while the corner part became briefly MixSmiths (c2019-2023) that specialised in cocktails. (Her name was Smith).
