The Queens Head was situated on the
riverside.
It started as Bridge House but had become the Queen's Arms by 1854 and seems
to have swayed between Queen's Arms and Queen's Head quite a bit initially
before settling on the latter. Closed 3rd November 1962 and remained empty
for years before opening as a restaurant called Spinnakers in 1999. That
venture was short-lived and it was empty again for a long period. Has now
been converted to residential use and has recently been on the market. |
