The Cock Inn was situated at Long John
Hill. This pub was present by 1760 when the publican was Benjamin Blake.
It was rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in 1908. Although it was
designated an “Asset of Community Value” in 2017 the pub closed in 2018 and
planning consent was given to convert the building into residential use. |
