The Waggon & Horses was situated on
Chapel Street. This pub was present by 1862 when the publican was James Cox,
closing c1956. The premises have been in residential use and were owned by
coal merchants for at least 60 years. An application to demolish the
building was granted in 2017, which is still standing empty. |

The Waggon & Horses was demolished in
2022. |
