The Scotch Arms was situated on Shaftoe
Street. This pub is now used as a private house. |
|
It closed as a pub in the 1970's and stood empty for a while
before being bought by a local family who intended to reopen it. A licence
was refused on the grounds that there were already enough licensed premises
in the village so they converted it into three houses, Scotch Arms, Scotch
Corner and West House. All 3 were residential but in 2001 Scotch Corner was
let out as a holiday cottage. |
