The Shipley Boat Inn was situated on Long Lane.
This former pub is mainly used as an event location in the summer for motor bike meetings and similar.

I remember seeing Ed Stewart,the famous 1960's DJ perform on stage.It was May 1969 which was my 21st birthday.

Used as the MFN (Miles From Nowhere) Club, a biker bar and club, started by Malcolm Allured, of Showaddywaddy fame; it closed in November 2022  and is now used as a wedding venue.
