The Station Hotel was situated on Station Road.

My parents kept the newsagents in the village for 26 years,one local chap by the name of Tom Mensing drank in the pub,he told me that sometimes at closing time a goat would be brought in to hoover up the floor,"a lovely tale I would love to think it was true".
