The Plough Inn  was situated on Top Street. This was a grade-II listed pub.
 
Listed building details:
Former Inn, now house. 1821. Brick, colourwashed, with C20 hipped pantile roof. Dentillated eaves. Central ridge stack, 3 side wall, single rear wall and single corbelled corner stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays, L-plan. South front has off-centre panelled door with overlight and keystone inscribed 'J K 1821'. To left, 2 and to right single plain sashes with segmental heads and keystones. Above, wrought iron sign bracket and 4 identical sashes. West end has to right, C19 panelled door with timber hood on brackets and suspension chains. Lower 2 storey rear wing has casement to left and door to right. Above, single Yorkshire sash. North gable has a round headed casement with Y tracery. Lean-to extension in return angle has casement to left and door to right, both with segmental heads. Above, 2 casements.
