The Heathfield

The Heathfield was situated on Arnold Road, Basford. This pub has now been converted to a convenience store.
Build in 1937 in a late art deco style. Consisted of , at the front a vaults through the main door and a side door into a wide passage with seats. Leading off from this a best room and at the rear a large lounge. The living quarters were upstairs small kitchen and pantry, two living rooms ,an office and three bedrooms. Lived there throughout the 1960's and in the back garden/yard was an air raid shelter left over from World War 2
