The Manton Inn was situated on Cheapside.
My great great grandparents ran this pub late 1800’s to the early 1900’s, a Mr and Mrs Knowles. They had 13 children (my grandma being the youngest). When my great great grandad died they were still running the pub and divided all the loose change he had in his pocket between his children I was given a sovereign that my grandma was given at this time for my 18th birthday
