The Beehive was situated on Stert Street.
This pub closed c2000 and is now used as an Indian restaurant. |

The original
pub sign was written by my grandfather, William Yates, he was a sign writer.
When the pub closed for good the sign (see photo below) was stolen. The
wording on the sign was:
Within this Hive
We’re all Alive
Good Liquor makes us Sunny
So if you’re dry Step in and Try
A flavour of our Honey. |
