The Blueberry Inn was situated on London Road. |
|
This grade-II listed pub opened in 1830 as The King William IV,
however within 10 years was known as The New Inn, before changing its name
to The Blueberry Inn in the 20th century. It was grade-II listed in 1988 and
closed in 2003. |

Public house. Early C19. Painted brick; slate roof; brick end
stacks. 2-storey, 3-widow range. 6-panel door to centre with flat hood,
having overlight above. 16-pane unhorned sashes with segmental brick heads
to ground floor left and right, 9-pane unhorned sashes with segmental brick
heads to first floor. Interior; panelled doors to lounge and public bars,
and to off sales. Lounge bar has 'grained' plank dado and open fireplace
with arched stone bressumer. |
