The Plough

The Plough was situated on Abingdon Road. This grade-II listed building is now a private house.

Listed building details:
Public house. C18. Coursed clunch rubble, mostly rendered; old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 3-unit plan with rear outshut. One storey plus attics. Original front has entrance, to right of centre, 2 casements to left, a projecting lateral chimney to right, and one large gabled dormer. Rendered bays, to right and centre, may be partly timber framed. Right end of rear outshut has been raised to give a double-gabled end wall, now the front, which has present main entrance and 4 casements, all with brick segmental arches and one with old leaded lights. Interior not inspected.
