Relatives of my mother were the
licencees of The Ryal Oak, their names were Bert and Ethel (Cannot
remember their surnames) he was ex Army. I would visit them from where
we lived in Harrow and spend my time fishing the River Thames. I also
made friends with the boatbuilders Hobbs who made the Umpire boats used
when the Henley regatta was held. |
