The Swan Inn was a Morrells-owned pub
which was located on the Thames path roughly 2½ miles from the centre of
Oxford on Rose Island. It became a hotel in 1919, before becoming a private
house in 1928. Records indicate that an inn stood on the site since the 16th
century. Abingdon brewery Morlands bought the island in 1883, selling it to
Morrells six years later in 1895. |
