The Squire Bassett was situated at 174 Oxford Road. This art deco pub was built in 1936, closed in 2012 and is now used as a Nepalese restaurant.

This pub was previously known as The Dog, then renamed The Dogwood in the 1990s.

Anna Valdevit 1979 I am Italian and I worked at "The Dog" for three months in the summer of 1979. After so many years I missed those times and so I would really like to have pictures of the old pub with the name "The dog"
