The Roebuck Inn was situated at 8-10
Cornmarket Street. This pub closed
in 1924 with most of the building demolished the following year with the
facade of the first and second floors left intact. The building is
grade-II listed
with the ground floor used for retail. A pub has been on this site since the
1300s when it was known as Carys Inn, changing its name to The Coventry Inn
in the 16th century, then finally The Roebuck in the early 17th century. |
