The Three Cups was situated at 43a
Castle Street. This pub was present by 1717 when the publican was Elizabeth
Parker. She was still there in 1756 when she died. It closed in 1910 when
the licence renewal was refused and the publican was Miss M Flegg. It
was owned at the time by Sir Walter Gray. The building is now used as a
branch of the Nationwide Building Society. |
